Situated on the edge of Llangorse Lake

Situated on the edge of Llangorse Lake, which nestles between the ruggedly remote Black Mountains and the grandeur of the Brecon Beacons, Ellesmere Riding Centre is a small and friendly stables with well-schooled quality horses and ponies to choose from.

Born and brought up on a local working farm with horses, Myfanwy has run Ellesmere for most of her life, and still enjoys taking out rides. The small team of happy, friendly and experienced staff, know the trails well and are great at looking after all our riders.

From our herd of sure-footed, fit Welsh cobs, cob crosses and children's ponies, all well-suited to the hills and mountains that surround us, we offer the ultimate riding experience for everyone through outstanding scenery - from genteel half-day pony treks for complete novices and families wanting to sightsee on horseback, to exclusive multi-day exploratory riding for accomplished riders.

We do hope that you will come and join us and take the opportunity to explore and enjoy on horseback our beautiful Welsh countryside and its natural wonders for yourselves.
